Oseloka Obaze, a former Anambra ,Secretary to the State Government, has said he would continue to support Peter Obi despite leaving the Labour Party.
In a series of posts on X, Obaze who has always been a strong supporter of Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, said he is not a card-carrying member of any party.
According to him, since he announced his resignation from the Labour Party, friends and well-wishers have continued to inundate his phones with calls, messages and concerns about his political move.
Obaze said that while he appreciates his well-wishers for their concerns, his reasons for leaving the Labour Party were clearly stated in his resignation letter.
Recall that Obaze had on April 6, announced his resignation from the Labour Party.
The former Anambra SSG also cited the crisis rocking the party as some of the challenges he had with the Labour Party.
He, however, said that despite resigning from the party, he is 100 per cent Obi-dient, a term usually used for supporters of Peter Obi.
Obaze wrote, “Presently, I am not a card-carrying member of any political party; I remain 100% Obidient; I continue to support Peter Obi fully in his pursuit for a New Nigeria that is Possible.
“My commitment to democracy and true nation-building in Nigeria remains unfettered; and
“Finally, I am of the opinion that the ruling APC government has failed Nigeria and Nigerians,” Obaze noted.
