Terrorists known locally as bandits have raided the residence of Mallam Ibrahim Tanko, the Sarkin Hausawa of Anguwar Azara in Jere town of Kagarko Local Government Area (LGA), along Abuja-Kaduna highway, abducting his wives and four daughters.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the name of the kidnapped wives of the community leader are Maimuna Ibrahim and Hauwawu Ibrahim. The seized daughters are Aisha Ibrahim, Farida Ibrahim, Zainab Ibrahim and Hussaina Ibrahim.
Hauwawu, the Sarkin Hausawa’s first wife, was later released when the heavily-armed criminals discovered that she is suffering from high blood pressure.
The kidnap incident happened on Tuesday night, with Sarkin Hausawa managing to escape using one of the exit doors.
Apart from the community leader’s family, the terrorists proceeded to a neighbour’s house and whisked away four people among whom is a nursing mother identified as Laraba Umar.
