JUST IN: DSS Receives Fresh Warning Against Arresting Sowore, Warned of Consequences

The Department of State Services (DSS) has received a fresh warning against arresting prominent activist Omoyele Sowore.

Renowned political activist Usman Okai Austin issued the warning on Friday, stating that arresting Sowore would be an attempt to suppress the voice of suffering Nigerians.

Okai, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that millions of Nigerians will stand in solidarity with Sowore, whose voice is needed now more than ever.

He urged the DSS to desist from arresting Sowore, stressing that such actions would only exacerbate the situation and warned of consequences.

In a statement, Okai criticized the government’s economic team, stating that they are “on a break” while the Central Bank of Nigeria is left to tackle the country’s economic woes alone.

He urged the Tinubu government to reflect on its actions through Sowore’s activities, which he believes are telling the government the necessary truth.

The activist warned that the DSS’s tactics of suppressing opposing voices are no longer effective and will only lead to more resistance.

  1. It is even foolish of Tinubu and his attorney general of Nigeria Lateef Fagbemi to drop treasonable charges against Sowore few months ago and then arrest Sowore again today over the same treasonable charge. And DSS and Courts are doing this for them? It just means DSS and Courts are never independent but puppets of Tinubu and his foolish Yoruba tribalists, and hence partisan or ever ready to carry out directives from Tinubu. This further goes to confirm Tinubu never won any election but bought it from INEC and Supreme Court as he recently boasted to Nigerians he did with his own money and wealth.
