The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has reacted to viral reports that the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has been arrested by its officials.
On Thursday afternoon, Nigerian online media was awash with reports of the arrest of Okorocha, his wife, Nkechi and his two brothers, Okey and Gerald on allegations of Fraud.
Meanwhile, in a telephone conversation with POLITICS NIGERIA on Thursday afternoon, Spokesman of the commission, Tony Orilade described the reports as ‘Fake News’.
Mr. Orilade simply said; “That Report is Fake News”.
