JUST IN: Military kills notorious bandit leader Sani Black

The Nigerian Military at the weekend killed Sani Black, a notorious bandit leader in Sabon Birni area of Sokoto State.

While details of the operation are still sketchy, POLITICS NIGERIA can report that Late Black was from Manawa village in the eastern part of Sokoto State.

In a piece of related news, at least 49 insurgents of the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād (Boko Haram), including two Commanders, Ba’a Usman (Munzir) and Alhaji Ari,(Nakib), have surrendered to Nigerian troops.

The terrorists surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Damboa town in Borno State on Sunday.

Many insurgents comprising combatants and non-combatants and their families have so far surrendered to the Nigerian troops.

The sustained onslaughts on the insurgents under the kinetic and non-kinetic approaches have led to the mass surrender.
