Following the recent outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria, the Northwest Governors under the aegis of Northwest Zone Governors’ Forum have agreed to shut down their schools for 30 days to avoid widespread of the disease.
The agreement was reached on Wednesday at their meeting in Kaduna.
The Chairman of the Forum and Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, who read the resolution, said the need to close down was necessitated to avoid spread of coronavirus.
According to reports, the closure takes effect from March 23, 2020.
