The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sanctioned the appointment of a Caretaker Committee in Katsina State.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that this committee has been entrusted with overseeing the affairs of the PDP in Katsina State for three months.
The announcement was made public through a statement issued by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the party’s National Publicity Secretary.
According to the statement, the decision to form the caretaker committee was made by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, exercising its powers as stipulated in the amended 2017 Constitution of the party.
Effective June 23rd, 2023, the Katsina Caretaker Committee will assume the crucial role of managing the operations and activities of the PDP in Katsina State.
The committee’s mandate is not to exceed 90 days, the statement informed.

PDP Appoints Katsina State Caretaker Committee
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of the Katsina State Caretaker Committee to pilot the affairs of the Katsina State Chapter of the Party for a period of three months.
The decision of the NWC is in exercise of its powers under the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017).
The Katsina Caretaker Committee is to manage the affairs of the Party in Katsina State for a period not exceeding 90 days, effective from June 23rd, 2023.
The PDP urges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of our Party in Katsina State to remain united and focused as we work collectively to strengthen the Party in the State.
