JUST IN: Police arrest 3 ex-convicts for alleged murder of APC’s senator aide

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command, have arrested three ex-convicts suspected of being involved in the murder of Adeniyi Sanni, an aide to Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi.

The suspects are believed to be part of an armed robbery group sponsored from abroad.

Their primary objective was to target unsuspecting victims and steal their secondhand cars, commonly called “Tokunbo” vehicles.

The Lagos commissioner of police, Idowu Owohunwa, paraded the suspects on Monday during a press conference at the state police command headquarters in Ikeja.

The Ogun West Senator, Solomon Adeola Olamilekan’s aide, was killed in Lagos state in August.

The victim was murdered under controversial circumstances in the early hours of a Saturday.

He was said to have been stopped at a checking point, where he was questioned about documents of his vehicle.

After constant communication with the wife, the legislative aide suddenly went incommunicado, suggesting something unpleasant had happened to him.

His corpse was later found with bullet wounds hours later.
