The Lagos Police Command has announced the arrest of an Inspector, Okoro Charles for shooting and killing one Fatai Oladipupo.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Charles shot Oladipupo dead on May 20th, 2020 along Obabiyi, Igando Road, Ikotun. Okoro is attached to the Ikotun Division of the police force.
The disgraced cop is currently facing internal disciplinary procedures also known as Orderly Room Trial at the State Provost Department. if found guilty, he will be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba for prosecution in conventional Court.
An investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the shooting incident.
The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Oladosu condoles with the family and friends of the deceased and calls for calm. He assures them that Justice will prevail. Members of the public will be updated on the outcome of the investigation.
