The Imam of Maiduguri Road Central Mosque, Sheikh Dahiru Lawal Abubakar, is dead.
POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Sheikh Abubakar died at 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna State after a brief illness. He was 52.
His Janaza (funeral prayer) is slated for 1pm today (Wednesday) at Maiduguri Road Juma’a Mosque, Kaduna State.
In a piece of related news, the Pastor of Rhema Baptist Church at Sabo Tasha, Kaduna State, Chatwason Nathan, has said that worshippers should vote for credible leaders, who have the interests of the downtrodden at heart, come 2023.
Nathan made this known during the church service on Sunday.
According to him, bad leaders, who inflict hardship on the people are brought to power when citizens fail to exercise their civic responsibility.
“You must ensure you have your Permanent Voters Card because that’s the only weapon you have to vote for credible leaders who have the interest of the downtrodden at heart,” he said.
