JUST IN: Relief for Civil Servants as Federal Government Releases Withheld Salaries

Civil servants who were initially denied their November salaries due to technical glitches and discrepancies in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) have begun receiving their due pay.

Politics Nigeria gathered that several senior officials confirmed the development on Wednesday.

Recall that thousands of civil servants reportedly had their November salaries withheld due to irregularities on the IPPIS platform.

Sources within the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation had earlier given assurance that the issue would be addressed, and by Monday, November 4, 2023, the technicalities were resolved.

“The alert just dropped a few minutes ago,” a senior civil servant who received her wages confirmed on Wednesday. “I’m happy to inform you that my November 2023 salary has finally been paid. The same goes for others in my office.”

Another civil servant, speaking on condition of anonymity, added: “It’s true, we have now been paid.”
