The Oyo State Police Command has reacted to the rape and murder of Barakat Bello, a student of the Institute of Agriculture, Research, and Training, Ibadan.
Miss Bello was raped and killed by unknown men in the Akinyele area of Ibadan, Oyo state on Monday evening. This newspaper reports that the deceased was stabbed to death close to her parents’ house in Akinyele.
Speaking to POLITICS NIGERIA on Wednesday afternoon, spokesperson for the state Police Command, Gbenga Fadeyi, said the attention of the command has been brought to the sad incident.
Fadeyi noted that the command would issue a statement regarding the incident soon after investigation has been carried on the matter.
