After he was dethroned by the Kano State Government on Monday, Muhammed Sanusi sent congratulatory text message to Aminu Ado Bayero, the newly installed emir.
Mr Sanusi’s gesture was disclosed to the press by Abubakar Ahmed Sabo, the traditional ruler of Loko, Nasarawa state on Wednesday.
Mr Sabo was the one who welcomed Mr Sanusi to Loko where he spent a night before being moved to another village, Awe on Tuesday.
Speaking with BBC Hausa on Wednesday, he said Mr Sanusi slept well without personal vendetta against the new emir.
“He told the people to support the new Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero. In fact, he sent a text message congratulating the new Emir.”
“Sanusi advised traditional rulers to know the way to relate with politicians, because there is nothing that brought this dethronement except politics”, he was quoted.
He also disclosed that Mr Sanusi is not regretting the role he played while on throne.
