Lagos APC Chieftain Begs Tinubu to Release Nnamdi Kanu

A notable All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Lagos state, Joe Igbokwe, has appealled to President Bola Tinubu to kickstart genuine reconciliation across Nigeria.

Igbokwe, who shared his thoughts via a post on Facebook, urged the president to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, for peace to reign in the country.

He took Nigeria down the memory lane, the post civil war in 1970 and noted that no Igbo person has ruled Nigeria but the country stands on together as a unit.

“Despite the killing of Igbo by Igbo, the killing of law enforcement officers, the burning of police formations and peoples homes by IPOB, ESN and UGM, I appeal to PBAT to release Nnamdi Kanu for sake of peace and tranquillity in the embattled zone and Nigeria as a whole. I am a victim of Nnamdi Kanu’s terror gang in the south-east, but I have forgiven all in the interest of peace and harmony in the South East and Nigeria,” Igbokwe said.

He further stated that the nation should ensure justice, equity and fair-play so as to make way for peace and progress.

Igbokwe also stressed that President Tinubu’s greatest achievements would be to reconcile Nigerians across all regions.

  1. I think I agree with you and after the release, Kanu should be invited for a discussion on the way forward and how tocall his supporters to order. Let Nigeria imitate RUSSIA mutiny attempt AND PRIGOZINE and how it was resolved and no victor no vanquished model.
