The Lagos State Police Command has detained a 24-year-old individual found in possession of three locally crafted pistols. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, officially confirmed the arrest via his social media handle on Tuesday.
The arrest took place on Monday when officers from the Ketu Division were conducting a routine stop and search patrol at Y Junction, Ketu, on Nov. 27.
Hundeyin disclosed that the suspect was discovered with three single-barrel pistols carefully wrapped in a brown cloth.
“The investigation is currently underway,” Hundeyin stated, emphasizing that once concluded, the suspect would face legal charges in court.
