Lawan commiserates with Senator Kabiru Gaya over wife’s death

The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, has commiserated with Senator Kabiru Gaya over the death of his wife, Halima.

Mr Lawan in a statement by Ola Awoniyi, his media aide, condoled with the people and government of Kano state over the tragic loss of a pillar behind their former governor.

“I express my heartfelt condolences to the Gaya family and share their grief over the death of a beloved wife and loving mother.

“May Almighty Allah console the entire family, give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and accept the soul of the departed,” Lawan said.

Mr Gaya is an architect and the former governor of Kano state. He was elected into the Nigerian Senate in 2007 to represent the people of Kano South constituency.
