“Let’s move on” – Ribadu reacts to killing of over 90 Kaduna villagers by Army

Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, has reacted to the killing of over 90 villagers in Tudun Biri by the Army.

Ribadu, who visited the village earlier today to condole with victims of the airstrike, described the incident as regrettable.

He, however, urged survivors to move forward with the lessons learnt from the unfortunate incident.

“We are here to physically see and also talk directly to the people, victims, and families and make an assessment for the Federal Government,” Ribadu said.

“It is a tragedy and misfortune. But it has happened. What matters is how we move forward, what we are going to learn from here, and what exactly we need to do,” he added.

Ribadu made this comment in the company of senators from northern Nigeria who went on a fact-finding visit to the village, according to ChannelsTV.

Over 90 people celebrating Maulud at Tudun Giri village in Igabi Local Government area of Kaduna State were killed by military air strikes on Sunday.

Idris Dahiru, a resident of Tudun Biri, narrated how the Nigerian Army released a bomb on villagers celebrating Maulud, killing 34 members of his family.
