Maku speaks on his alleged meeting with Atiku, Tinubu, Saraki and Wike

National Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Labaran Maku has disclosed that the various insinuations of him meeting former vice president Atiku Abubakar, All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, Bola Tinubu, among others, to float a new political platform ahead of 2023 is false.

The former minister of information revealed this on Sunday while answering queries from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Wakama, Nasarawa State.

Reports had alleged that the immediate past president of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, Governors Nyesom Wike, Aminu Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed were also in attendance at the meeting.

The Nasarawa state APGA governorship candidate in 2019, said: “I haven’t met Asiwaju Tinubu for years and I am in APGA by choice having considered all the other options.

“That I held meeting with Tinubu, others in my country home Wakama, such report is a fake news”.

According to Maku, rather than becoming jittery ahead of the next elections, well meaning Nigerians should be law abiding and respect constituted authorities for development to thrive.

He urged all APGA supporters to remain firm and continue to support the party at all times.
