The Senate lobby of the Nigerian National Assembly was flooded with rain water on Tuesday.
Cleaners battled to evacuate rain water that had flooded the area from a leak in the building’s roof. POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that Senate president, Ahmed Lawan had to hold plenary under the rather shocking situation.
The national assembly houses the nation’s legislature.
Some Senators were shocked as they stood watching the cleaners struggle to remove the water, wondering why the building’s roof would be leaking.
It will be recalled that the sum of N37 billion was budgeted for the maintenance of the complex in the 2020 budget which elicited wild reactions from the public including the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
