The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned Nigerians to desist from attending mass gatherings to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

The center made this known in a series of tweets via its Twitter page on Saturday, following the death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari.

The health agency asked Nigerians to adhere to its guidelines on the safe burial of victims of the respiratory virus.

The tweets read: “Even at this time, as we mourn loved ones lost to COVID-19, including recently deceased Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, we need to refrain from attending mass gatherings to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

“Let us #StaySafe and protect each other.

“Our guidance on ensuring safe and dignified burial while preventing the spread of #COVID19 can be found at: https://covid19.ncdc.gov.ng/resource/MgtOfDeadBodies.pdf. #TakeResponsibility”

  1. NMA and its medical team across the country should continue the excellent work in the ongoing covid 19 fight.Nigerians solidly support your brave work ,and your position of chinese medical team in the country .The total rejection Chinese so called medical team in Nigeria because China people are up to no good in Africa If Nigerian Government failed to put their acts together it will be too late before Chinese takes every land belonging to Africans .The world had seen what the Chinese will do take over the continent By 2050 there will not be enough land for the Chinese peiople in china and they target Africa continent infact its already happening in Zambia where china police runs the country and resources due to loans default . Africa wakeup . Coming back to my point Nigerian medical medical professinal far supeior to Chinese medical body but the nigerian government and politicians are number one enemy of the country developments due to corruption
