The social media space is rife with comments on the expensive wears donned by Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra.
Kanu, who was recently rearrested and extradited back to Nigeria, wore an outfit with the Fendi signature. Fendi, a notable fashion company with over 210 boutiques, manufacture wears that are considerably more expensive than Gucci.
According to Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, Kanu was nabbed on Sunday, four years after he fled Nigeria, despite being on trial for treasonable felony. POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that he appeared in court on Tuesday and his trial will resume in Abuja on July 26.
Pending the continuation of his trial, the federal government has obtained a court order to remand Kanu in DSS custody. However, away from the news of his trial, Nigerians online have reacted to the Fendi outfit he had on.
Some said it points to the luxurious lifestyle Kanu has been living since he jetted out of the country in 2017 while others questioned the source of his stupendous wealth.
