Osinbajo Inherited Awolowo’s Governance Style – Gov Abiodun

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and other indigenes of Ikenne local government have welcomed former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo after completing eight years as the second-in-command to his principal, Muhammadu Buhari.

At the grand reception, Governor Abiodun commended Osinbajo for his outstanding role towards achieving a successful poll in the state during the general elections.

The governor further promised that his administration would continue to be proud of Osinbajo’s impressive leadership records while in office as the vice president.

During the public thanksgiving and appreciation reception organised in honour of Osinbajo by the Ikenne Development Association, the governor described the former vice-president as a man with impeccable character, whose eight years in office, he said, engendered positive development to the entire country.

Abiodun narrated that Osinbajo’s “trailblazing” records in good governance and public administration were inherited from the late premier of western region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, adding that the former vice present had raised the bar.

The governor also commended Osinbajo for his “unwavering loyalty” to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

In their separate remarks, the governor of Bayelsa, Duoye Diri, his counterpart from Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, described Osinbajo as a detribalised man, who they said served the nation meritoriously.

Responding, Osinbajo appreciated Nigerians for appreciating his contributions to the growth of the nation during his days in office.
