The Victory of Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, in the just concluded Osun State Elections, has caused Jubilation round the state.
Some youths who were rejoicing over Adeleke’s win were seen destroying Billboards belonging to the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the state governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
Adeleke was declared the winner at the head office of INEC in Osogbo, the state capital which was used as the collation centre.
He won 17 local government areas in the state, while Oyetola won the remaining 13 local government areas in the state.
The popular senator polled 403,371 votes ahead of the incumbent, Oyetola who polled 375,052 votes in the keenly contested election.
