Just few hours after the Supreme Court’s judgement removing Emeka Ihedioha as Governor of Imo state, the flags of the Peoples Democratic Party have also been removed from the Imo State Government House.
The Supreme Court had yesterday sacked Emeka Ihedioha and declared Senator Hope Uzodinma of the APC as the duly elected governor of the state on Tuesday.
In an investigate report by The punch, when the government house at Owerri was visited, all the PDP flags which had adorned the entrance gate and the premises of the government house were missing.
A government house source had it that the flags were brought down because a new governor had emerged.
However, banners congratulating the governor-elect was seen.
The banner which is reportedly made by the United Bank for Africa is placed at the entrance of the state government.
Although the All Progressives Congress’s flag wasn’t hoisted yet, the mandatory green flags of the country was reportedly the only flag seen as at press time.
