President Buhari Congratulates New Nigerian Governors’ Forum Chairman, Issues Demands

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his confidence in Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, the newly elected Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that in an official statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, President Buhari congratulated AbdulRazaq on his recent appointment and emphasised the crucial role the NGF plays in fostering strong inter-state relationships and reinforcing the bond between the federal and state governments.

The President’s statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari warmly felicitates with Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), urging him to give his best in providing leadership.”

President Buhari commended the NGF for its steadfastness and stability throughout the years, particularly in the peaceful transition of leadership.

He acknowledged the NGF’s significant contributions in facilitating constructive discussions on development, promoting democratic ideals, and offering valuable guidance to political leaders in their service to the nation.

“President Buhari believes the Governor of Kwara State will further improve relations, tighten policy issues, and provide more opportunities for growth among states, and the Federal Government, considering his antecedents in business and government,” the statement added.

The President concluded the statement by extending his best wishes to Governor AbdulRazaq, emphasising his confidence in the Governor’s ability to excel in his new role as Chairman of the NGF.
