President Buhari Heads to London for King Charles’ Coronation

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to travel to London, UK, to attend the coronation of Charles III, the new King of the United Kingdom, along with his wife, Camilla.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the president will join other world leaders invited to attend the ceremony on May 6, according to a state house release.

The release also indicated that the Commonwealth Secretariat would host a Commonwealth Summit for Presidents and Heads of Government of Commonwealth countries on May 5, taking advantage of the gathering of leaders in London.

President Buhari is expected to participate in the Summit, which will focus on the future of the Commonwealth and the role of youth.

The President will be accompanied by a delegation including Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, Maj.-Gen Babagana Monguno (Rtd), National Security Adviser (NSA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, among other senior government officials.
