President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has met with Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Airtel Worldwide, alongside Dr. Segun Ogunsanya, Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, and other prominent members of the board.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the purpose and details of the meeting remain undisclosed, but it may not be unrelated to the recent launch of Airtel Nigeria’s 5G services.
This comes just hours after Airtel Nigeria made headlines with the official announcement of its 5G rollout across the nation.
Femi Oshinlaja, the Chief Commercial Officer at Airtel Nigeria, said the 5G services would be accessible in four major cities: Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos, Ogun, and Rivers States. However, Oshinlaja assured eager customers that the coverage would progressively expand to encompass other regions throughout the country.
