Rivers political crisis: ”Tinubu forcing one-party dictatorship on Nigeria” – Dele Momodu

Renowned chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has raised serious concerns over President Bola Tinubu’s involvement in the recent conflict between Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Taking to Instagram to express his discontent, Momodu labelled Tinubu’s intervention as “legally absurd” and questioned the President’s authority to preside over both state and federal affairs simultaneously.

“The directives to Rivers state by a Federal President is really absurd in legal terms. No President can be a Headmaster of both State and Federal,” remarked Momodu, expressing strong reservations about what he perceived as overreach by the federal government into state matters.

He also lambasted what he termed an infringement on the democratic principles that should safeguard the separation of powers between federal and state entities.

“Opposition parties must vehemently oppose this brazen attempt at forcing a one-party dictatorship on Nigeria,” Momodu said.

  1. Mr Dele, it is really unfortunate that u are still playing partisan politics arising from the pains of losing 2023 Election even after Boosting, and abusive Campaign u and the Like of Dino and some elements in Obedient Movement deployed into 2023 Election.
Let me Educate u and some who are like u in reasoning.
First, the Seat of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have as it jurisdiction the entire States, Local Government, Geo political Zone, all parts that are within the territory of Nigeria as a Country hence
When Federal Government Share Allocation, U never ask States to reject because it’s Federal Government that share. When President declare State of Emergency like Obasanjo of PDP did in Pleateu (Jos) State, U never say President is running one party state.
Secondly, National Assembly are empowered to take over the State Assembly if the need raises like PDP did in Obasanjo administration yet u were in Media yet u never know Federal Government is running one party state.
Thirdly ur party PDP are aware of the political tension in ur PDP control State of Rivers yet ur party move in to play factional card of interest.
Now President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria being the leader of the Country, U immediately wake up from ur slumber of losing selfish interest and shamelessly make this publication thinking that that Nigerian are still blind as we silently allow ur Party did in the pass 16yrs of Obasanjo, Yar’Adua, Jonathan.
Were u not in the Country then?
I think it’s time for u to berry ur head in shame like Dino and Obsidian moment did and allow Nigeria enjoy the rearrangement of the Country and stop political Tension which u are thinking it can work in Nigeria.
    Nigerian are wiser now.
