Former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has revealed how a group of assailants attacked travellers on Rukuba road, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State on Saturday 14th, August, 2021.
POLITICS NIGERIA earlier reported that 26 people were killed while 20 were injured by the hoodlums.
Sani, in a tweet on Sunday disclosed that the travellers were separated based on their religious faith before being killed. The deceased victims were majorly muslims.
He wrote: “The Plateau massacre of Muslim faithfuls; They stopped a Bus on Transit, they selected the passengers based on their religious beliefs, they hacked them to death, they desecrated the corpses of their victims;An unspeakable, condemnable and atrocious infamy.”
However, the IG of police, Usman Baba Alkali has since deployed a crack team to the area to assess and bring to book the perpetrators. 20 arrests have been made so far.
This is vicious, sadistic, brutish, hateful and indefensible under any law of retaliation. When will there be a stop to this spiraling, vicious circle of killings stop? The military, the police and their controlling authority have failed; their inept, seemingly partisan handling of killings have not helped. No religion preaches killings of the innocent;
Every one who calls the name of God through Christ and who had hand in this devilish act is judged and condemned. Woe unto their land for they will never have peace.
