“Tinubu’s certificate scandal may chase investors from Nigeria” – APC chieftain raises concerns

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised concerns over the certificate scandal President Bola Tinubu is currently enmeshed in.

Politics Nigeria earlier reported that Chicago State University had distanced itself from the certificate the Nigerian president presented to INEC before the 2023 elections.

In his reaction to the development, Osita Okechukwu, Director General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), expressed concerns that Tinubu’s certificate scandal may affect foreign direct investment to the country.

Okechukwu warned Nigerians to not fall into the trap of Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who he said is desperate to gain power and rule the country.

The VON director criticised Atiku calling on Nigerians to “be reticent” stating that the politician’s bid to become president was driven by hysteria.

Okechukwu, who is a founding member of the APC, accused Atiku of breaching the rotation convention among geopolitical zones in Nigeria, thus discrediting him from making a statement on the recent issue of the president’s Chicago certificate fiasco.

He stated that the presidential candidate had no moral standing to criticize the President and pleaded that the political parties not “heat the polity” of the nation.

“We all know each other. Mr. President is not new to us. We know him. These issues have been on the table for decades. And if anyone knows Mr President it should be Waziri of Adamawa (Atiku),” Okechukwu told AriseTV on Wednesday.

“When they joined us in partisan politics in the late 80s, they belonged to a patriotic front, a political association back then canvassing for registration. And it was headed by General Musa Shehu Yar Adua of blessed memory.

“They were brothers, they knew each other as political friends from the same political family.

“What I’m saying is that looking inwards, the day they breached their own practised constitution, and denied the south of a candidate, that was the day their own crisis started.”

He raised concerns that the crisis might chase away investors from the country.

“There is anti-democratic headwind and storm in our subregions. We need to collectively move on, we will get there but we cannot get there by heating our polity and keeping us uneasy.”

  1. MEANWHILE INVESTORS ARE TROOPING TO Nigeria IN THEIR DROVES.
The success of the recent trip of President Tinubu to both the G20 summit and the UNGA are both testaments to the fact.

ONLY THE HATEFUL FOOLISH OPPOSITE PEOPLE WOULD RATHER BE BLIND TO THE RISING INVESTMENT PROFILE OF Nigeria UNDER THE CURRENT LEADERSHIP OF QUALITY LEADERSHIP BY THE Asiwaju, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The HATEFUL coats are on the verge of losing it completely.
