Abba Bichi, son of the Director General of the State Security Service (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi, has voiced his belief that Bola Tinubu is the “legally elected president,” despite ongoing legal challenges to his victory.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Bichi took to Instagram to taunt Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, stating that even heaven could not strip Tinubu of his victory and hand it to Obi.
Bichi went so far as to claim that heaven would “send Obi back” and declare Tinubu the legitimate president.
Sharing a picture of Tinubu, he wrote, “Legally elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If Peter Obi likes to let him go to heaven, heaven will still send him back and declare Asiwaju as the president of this great nation.”
Tinubu was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
However, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja has yet to rule on the validity of his victory, with proceedings adjourned until May 10, 2023.
