Tragedy struck on Saturday at Sango Police Barracks in Ibadan, Oyo State as a block of flats collapsed.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the incident was captured on video and shared on Twitter by one Miss Urie Keshia. She captioned it, “This block just collapsed at Sango police Barracks, Ibadan, Oyo State.” The collapsed structure is located in front of a residential three-storey building.
According to reports, attempts to reach officials from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Ibadan and the Oyo State Police Command for comments on the incident have been unsuccessful as of the time of this report.
As the search for survivors continues, residents and onlookers are working together to clear the rubble. The exact number of people or items trapped in the debris is not yet known.
