What Pastor Adeboye discussed with Buhari at Aso Villa

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Monday, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

POLITICS NIGERIA gathered that one of the issues discussed at the meeting, which was held behind close-doors, was the controversial Companies and Allied Matters Act, (CAMA) which wad signed into law on August 7, 2020 by the President.

Adeboye, through the Head of Media and Public Relations, RCCG, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, had said he supported the position of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigerian, CAN, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigerian, PFN, on the controversial law.

He urged the federal government to resolve the contentious aspects of the law is Section 839, which provides for religious bodies, non-governmental organisations and charity organisations to be regulated by the Registrar of the Corporate Affairs Commission and a supervising minister.

It was learned that the President and Adeboye were joined at the meeting by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, who is also an RCCG Pastor.

The Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, also attended the meeting that started around 3pm and ended a few minutes after.

That Pastor Adebiye , the General Overseers of RCCG met with President Buhari tto discuss and resolve contentious issues in CAMA is commendable and a sign that tag of Humility on him is not pretentious. The Bible expects us to respect those in authority as they were enthroned to the knowledge if God. May God continue to increase Pastor Adebiye in knowledge and wisdom.
