Jack Obinyan, a former assistant to Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, on Thursday made a cryptic post about Vice-President Professor Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) contesting for presidency in 2023.
In a Facebook update via his verified page, Obinyan posted a picture of Osinbajo with his wife, Dolapo, and simply captioned it: “They are coming”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a support group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the Progressive Consolidation Group (PCG), in October said the law professor has yet to accede to the massive clamour to join the presidential race.
The group also lauded Osinbajo for staying focused on delivering his mandate, saying his “decidedly non-desperate disposition towards the 2023 presidential race has further energized his support base nationwide and made him more fitting for that office”.
In a statement by the PCG chairman, Dr. Aliyu Kurfi, the group expressed total satisfaction with the increasing gale of support for Prof. Osinbajo.
“Our dear Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN remains loyal to his boss, President Buhari, he much focused on the job and he has never been known for desperate politicking,” PCG had said.
He is well suited for the Job. He is calm, focused, devoted,and committed.
