Tinubu approves reconstitution of Police Academy Council [FULL LIST]

President Bola Tinubu has approached the reconstitution of the 16-member governing council of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

Bayo Onanuga, th special adviser to the president on information and strategy in a statement said Tinubu appointed the Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, as the chairman of the governing council. 

Onanuga said the council includes the chairman of the Police Service Commission, the Inspector-General of Police, and one representative each from the Federal Ministry of Education, the Federal Ministry of Finance, and the Federal Ministry of Justice.

In addition, the President appointed six other people to represent the six geopolitical zones across the country.

Below is the list of the representatives from the geopolitical zones

1. Babagana Zannah Adam (DCP Rtd.) – North East 

2. Emmanuel Torkuma Manger – North Central 

3. Maigari Abati Dikko (DIG Rtd.) – North West 

4. Dubem A. Obaze (KSM) – South East 

5. Ajibogere Toyin – South West 

6. Udom Udo Ekpoudom (DIG Rtd.) – South South

“The Commandant of the Academy, the Provost, and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of training will serve as ex officio members. The registrar of the Academy will serve as the council’s secretary,” Onanuga said.
