Ondo Govt Launches Manhunt for Kidnappers of Pastor’s 9-Year-Old Son

The Ondo State Government has announced the activation of a coordinated joint security operation following the abduction of a nine-year-old son of a pastor by suspected bandits in Igbosi Community, Idogun, in Ose Local Government Area of the state.

Urging residents, particularly those in the affected community, to remain calm, the government disclosed that personnel from the Amotekun Corps, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the military have been deployed to carry out a rescue operation.

The State Commissioner for Information stated that security agencies have commenced extensive combing operations within the area, assuring that every effort is being made to secure the victim’s safe release.

The victim, identified as Victor Olaosebikan, was reportedly kidnapped in the early hours of Friday when armed men invaded the community, marking another security challenge in the state.

In a statement, the government said, “The Ondo State Government wishes to assure residents that the security situation is being closely monitored and professionally managed by relevant agencies.

“Preliminary security measures have already been strengthened in the affected axis, while intelligence gathering and search operations are ongoing to ensure the perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice.”
