1. Presidency Speaks On Blocking Aides From Entering Aso-Rock After Kyari’s Burial

The Nigerian Presidency has reacted to reports that some of its aides were blocked from entering the Villa on Saturday after attending the funeral ceremony of the former Chief of staff, Abba Kyari. Security officials at the Presidential villa blocked all access to staff that attended the funeral urging them to self isolate for 2 weeks inline with NCDC guidelines.

2. “Buhari Can’t Access His Office Because Of Abba Kyari’s Palm Print” – Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has alleged that President Muhamadu Buhari can’t access his office because of Abba Kyari’s ‘Palm Print’. Kanu, a known critic of the Buhari administration and Pro-secessionist, in a live Radio Biafra broadcast, claimed that the ‘chinese’ are currently working on melting down the office door, adding that it was only the late Kyari that had access to it.

3. Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema Speaks On Contesting 2023 Presidency

The CEO of Airpeace airlines, Chief Allen Onyema has denied reports of planning to contest in the 2023 presidential elections. Onyema, in a statement on Sunday, dissociated himself from a group known as ‘UNITED PEOPLE OF NIGERIA INITIATIVE” (UPNI) responsible for ‘endorsing’ him to campaign for president.

4. “Why We Ignored Social Distance Order At Abba Kyari’s Burial” – Presidency

The Presidency has revealed it ignored the social distance order at the burial ceremony of former Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari. POLITICS NIGERIA reports that many Nigerians attacked the Federal Government for defying social distance rule in order to cushion the effect of Coronavirus. Speaking to State House correspondents on Saturday evening, Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu, said the crowd that attended the ceremony were not invited.

5. “The Only Thing That Can Make Me Abandon Biafra” – Nnamdi Kanu Opens Up

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu has revealed the ‘only thing’ that can make him abandon his struggle for the sovereign state of Biafra. Kanu, in a live Radio Biafra broadcast on Saturday, made the revelation while reacting to the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s chief of staff, Abba Kyari. He claims that the President’s office in Aso-rock is inaccessible at the moment because Abba Kyari’s palm print is needed to open the door.

6. “There Is No Policy Against Release Of Dead COVID-19 Patients” – Lagos Govt Tackles FG

The Lagos State government has reacted to the release of the remains of the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, for burial. During a briefing on Sunday, Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, said there is no policy against the release of dead coronavirus (COVID-19) patients to their families.

7. Nigerian Governors React To Abba Kyari’s Death

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has mourned the death of the late Mallam Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari. In a letter signed by the NGF’s Chairman, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, the 36 governors regretted Kyari’s death and commiserated with President Buhari and the deceased’s family. The letter, made available by NGF’s spokesman, Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, noted that Kyari served the Presidency “with the passion and integrity of a patriot.”

8. “Appoint An Igbo Politician As Your New Chief Of Staff” – Ohanaeze Tells Buhari

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to appoint an Igbo politician as his new Chief of Staff following the death of Abba Kyari. The group also called on Buhari to “look inward, make amendments and clear doubts about his stance as the father of Nigeria” by appointing replacement from the Igbo speaking areas of Niger-Delta or South-East. It made this known in a statement by Okechukwu Isiguzoro, OYC President and Secretary-General, Okwu Nnabuike, on Sunday.

9. Davido’s Fiancee, Chioma Tests Negative For Coronavirus

Chioma Rowlands, fiance of popular music star, David Adeleke alias Davido, has tested negative for COVID-19. This development was made public by the singer on his social media pages on Sunday evening. Davido said his fiancee has recovered from coronavirus after testing negative twice for the respiratory virus.

10. “What I’ve Learned From My Trial And Prosecution” – Funke Akindele-Bello

Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele-Bello has said she has learned a lot from her trial for breaking the social distancing rule of Lagos State government. POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Funke and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, were sentenced to 14-day community service and fined N100, 000 each for breaking the restriction order. In a sensitization video released on Sunday via her social media platforms, the actress said she has learned to be a better citizen.
