Nollywood star, Regina Daniels, has said she will be going back to her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, for the sake of her family’s safety and to secure her brother’s release from police custody.
The actress made this known in a series of emotional posts shared on her social media pages on Friday.
In the videos, Regina appeared in tears as she narrated how her family had allegedly suffered since her brother, Samuel ‘Sammy West’ Daniels, was arrested and her mother, Rita Daniels, was reportedly placed under an arrest warrant.
Regina accused the lawmaker of using his power to intimidate her family and silence her. She also claimed that the police had become tools in the hands of powerful people.
“It’s okay to laugh as per oo — when she was flaunting the wealth, were we enjoying it with her? But nobody ever flaunts their sadness because of this very reason — mockery,” she said tearfully.
“As long as you were not in my shoes you would never understand. What were you guys expecting me to show off, that I was being beaten? That I was sad? No. I think I will break this phone.”
In another post, Regina expressed frustration over her brother’s arrest, saying she had lost faith in the justice system.
“I give up! What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect but shame on you all!
“It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins. Now I’m crippled! I will return if that’s the only way — do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammy West! Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria, that’s what this means. We lost — or rather, I lost!”
Regina also shared a screenshot of a message she claimed came from her mother, stating, “Ned has issued an arrest warrant against me. I should be arrested on or before Monday.”
The drama reportedly started after Sammy West confronted Senator Nwoko over alleged domestic violence against Regina.
Not long after, he was picked up and allegedly transferred from Lagos to Abuja under unclear circumstances.
The actress said the arrest was meant to break her emotionally and force her back into her husband’s home. She hinted that she might have no choice but to return to avoid further harm to her family.
As of the time of filing this report, Senator Ned Nwoko has not made any public statement regarding the accusations.
