In a striking show of support, campaign posters of former President Goodluck Jonathan resurfaced at the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) national convention held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
Supporters carried placards and banners with Jonathan’s image alongside Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed.
Many were clad in T-shirts branded “GEJBAM,” signalling a joint ticket of Jonathan for president and Mohammed as his running mate.
The display underscores a growing push within the party for the former president to contest the 2027 election.
However, Jonathan has not publicly confirmed any plans to run for the Nigeria top job.
At the same venue, delegates also saw banners backing Governor Seyi Makinde for the 2027 presidency, highlighting rising interest in his candidacy.
Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed has also maintained that he will only join the race if Jonathan refuses to bow to pressure.
His supporters describe him as a natural partner on a joint ticket should Jonathan decide to run.
