BREAKING: Wike storms court in solidarity with Jang who’s accused of fraud

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on Wednesday stormed the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos where a former Governor of the state, Jonah Jang is being arraigned.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Jang is standing trial alongside Yusuf Pam, an ex-cashier in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the State, on alleged N6.3bn fraud charges brought before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

The two accused persons were first arraigned before Justice Daniel Longji in March 2018 on 17 counts bordering on criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of public funds but they had since pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The case is currently before Justice Christy Dabup.

Wike, clad in a dark blue suit with a white shirt underneath, arrived the court premises at 9:50 am in company with other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains and moved straight to courtroom where the trial was already in progress.

  1. A responsible governor can not abadon his responsibility and travel to his to support his friend facing fraud charges

  2. Until other Governors from the Northern part of Nigeria are arrigned for corrupt cases then will I look at these selected trials otherwise. In the main time, Jolly of Taraba state, Dariye of plateau state are all innocent.

  3. This wike must believe erroneously that jumping up and down all over the place signifies strength and or empty power. He has abandoned the business of the people for which he was assigned custody for moribund exercises, junketing into reckless political activism. Trying to play unworthy godfatherism thinking he can decide and determine the fate of anyone in the Nigerian political space. A very far-fetched idea with a tall dream.
