The Federal Government has reacted to the recent spate of ‘mysterious’ deaths in Kano state which has caused apprehension in the Northern state.
Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, made the reaction on Sunday during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari was aware of the situation in Kano. Ehanire added that a delegation will be sent to the state to unravel the circumstances surrounding the sudden deaths.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the state government had said the recent spate of ‘mysterious’ deaths in the state was not related to COVID-19 complications as widely speculated.
Speaking further, the minister said the only person who can determine when to lift the lockdown order in Lagos, Abuja and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is President Buhari.
“The President will make that announcement in his own time. We will give him the facts, he will consider the facts and make his own announcements using his own wisdom,” the Minister said
