BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu reacts to Sowore’s arrest, reveals next line of Action

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has spoken against the arrest of the publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure his immediate release.

Sowore, a former presidential candidate, was arrested early Saturday by security operatives suspected to be from the Department of State Security (DSS). The arrest is believed to be connected to the #RevolutionNow protests which is set to commence nationwide on August 5.

Kanu took to twitter to express his displeasure; “Fulani tyranny & primitive dictatorship will never win this war against the massed ranks of oppressed people in Nigeria.”

“Suppressing the right to protest in a so-called democracy will only hasten the collapse of that ZOO.”

#FreeSowore & allow the #RevolutionNow right to protest.” Kanu fired on Twitter.

  1. Nigeria is a Denocratic country why did the State Security arrest Soware . What CRIME has he committed? The masses want to protest against the genocide committed in Nigeria killing Igbos & Christians. How many fulanis have the Govt arrested over all the killings. The President has remained silent. What has Mr. Soware done to warrant arrest? Nigeria is indeed a Zoo. Mr Kanu is a good Man speaking up for his Yoruba counterpart. Long live Man I

  2. Nigeria is a democratic state whereby every citizen should have the right to protest over any wrong doings by the Government. If Sowore is being detained for spearheading the peaceful protests set to take place on August 5th, then this is a way to create fear in the protesters. People should stand out for their rights in Nigeria and let any kinds of intimidation be under your feets and trap down and move ahead if you want to save your country Nigeria. Good luck.

  3. I Will not kept quiet over evil, buhari and his cables are holding Nigeria in ransom, but the end has come,we need biafra now!

  4. It’s quite unfortunate that this should happen in this century.
This, one can only conclude that there is nothing like democracy yet in Africa.
Democracy is only used by those fortunate to be at helms of affairs, to enable them sit together with other world leaders. In practice, it’s far from existence in Africa – a place where a few forcefull power mongers, money bags oppressors manipulates, dictates and decide for the vast masses.
Oh God of Heaven and earth, help Africa.
