Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, in reaction to the Supreme Court Verdict, which affirmed him as governor, thanked God for the favourable decision.
This follows the Supreme Court verdict on Friday, which affirmed Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, as the duly elected Governor of Kano State.
His victory in the 2023 Governorship Election was challenged by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its governorship candidate in Kano State, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.
Recall that the two lower courts, the Court of Appeal and the Petition Tribunal, had earlier nullified Yusuf’s victory in the election.
