The United States Government through its mission in Nigeria has extended condolences to the family of late Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. Kyari, who died on Friday after succumbing to the COVID-19 virus was buried on Saturday afternoon. The US mission in Nigeria via a message on its social media page described him as ‘dedicated son and civil servant’.

2. Obasanjo Writes Letter On Abba Kyari’s Death, Prays For Buhari

Former President, Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo has reacted to the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. OBJ, in a statement made available to POLITICS NIGERIA, expressed sadness at the development.  Obasanjo also prayed for the President asking that God should grant him the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss adding that it was a reminder that Nigerians must come together and jointly fight the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.

In a tweet on his social media page, Bashir disclosed that the NCDC officials suit was properly disposed of. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the death of Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, as painful and national tragedy. In a statement on Saturday morning by its spokesman, Lanre Issa-Onilu, the ruling APC described the deceased as one of Buhari’s “closest advisers” Issa -Onilu said the president has indeed lost a competent, trusted, loyal, strong right-hand man and long-time adviser who promoted, protected and defended his interest in good times and adversity.

Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mourned the death of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari. POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the Presidency had announced Kyari’s death in the early hours of Saturday. The deceased had tested positive for COVID-19 on the 27th of March, 2020 and had been receiving treatment until his death. In a statement on its Twitter handle signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP described the death of Kyari as depressing and saddening.

10. FG Fumigates Abba Kyari’s Burial Site Over Coronavirus Concerns [PHOTOS]

The Nigerian Government has fumigated the burial site of late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari. This was done as a precautionary measure after an NCDC official who served as a pallbearer at Kyari’s burial was caught on tape disposing of his PPE suit carelessly without following due procedure. In a swift reaction, the acting secretary, health and human services secretariat, FCTA, Dr Mohammed Kawu ordered total decontamination of the entire cemetery.
